An octave-mandolin works excellent for someone who isn't ready for the
finger stretches of bouzouki playing but desiring at least a similiar depth of tone. At 22.5" the OM is 3" shorter but uses a tuning like the bouzouki.

My flat-top OMs have a punchy sustain and cut through in volume over other instruments in an acoustic jam. Like my bouzoukis they don't have to be played hard to get pleasing results.

I use a discernible induced-arch back that brings out better projection and volume compared to carved backs. It also helps keep the instrument more affordable in terms of material usage. The tops are hand-planed and tuned to achieve the correct tone and strength.

SMALLER BODY . Also available in smaller 14" body. You can see this model here on facebook.
